Main belt or one of the idler pulleys (82 views) 
Message: I had a "clicking" type sound one time from a belt that had a tiny chunk missing from it. Every time it passed over a certain pulley it produced the sound. But in general, the noises you describe are usually from the two idler pulleys or the alternator going out.
