| Message: | Before this weekend I had only traveled to Vancouver and Victoria Canada. Before: 1. I believed Canada was a big ice cube. 1.5 Because of #1 I believed people who lived in places other than near the oceans lived in igloos. 2. I believed all Canadian's had bad accents (about = "a-boot") 3. I believed all Canadians loved Hockey 4. I believed Canada was an extension of Alaska (no roads, and stuff like that) 5. I believed most Canadians hated the US Today: 1. Canada is damn hot in the summer. The temperature was well into the 90s for most of the trip and I got a bad sun burn. 2. Most Canadian's I spoke to hardly had an accent at all. 3. All Canadian's DO love hockey and find it strange we don't know what they're talking about... 4. Canada has quite a few roads. Most are smooth and pot-hole free... however, they are not flat. There are many little dips in the road that mess with your suspension and caused my wheels to scrape the fenders many times. 5. Despite their decision to not back the US in the War on Iraq, the Canadians I spoke to seemed to be genuinely concerned that US citizens were mad at them for this move. I don't know anything about Canadian politics, but from what I've heard (and saw in the papers), the Conservative party is gaining power and their Liberal party president might be replaced soon. 6. Canadian women are much better than Seattle women. I saw virtually ZERO ugly women. Sure I didn't see any many 9s or any 10s, but I also didn't see any sub 5s (with the exception of old ladies) There were a lot of 6s and plenty of 7s and 8s. In contrast, Seattle is full of sub-5s and all of the 7s and 8s are snotty *female dogs* Chuck, you have a beautiful country with very hospitable people. My favorite place though had to be Canmar (or was it Canmore) For those that don't know it's about 100 km from Calgary right in the mountains. On the way back we visited Lake Louise which quite beautiful too, but a little to touristy for my taste.
