cheer at my daughter's school is surprisingly hard work. Sure they get to prance around in their uniforms on Fridays and at games, but they practice more on an hour-per-hour basis than does the football team.

We've raised our kids to achieve because they *want* to, not for what they might get out of the deal from ma and pa. Although my daughter has begun pleading with me to keep the Tahoe because she thinks it will make a great car for her.

Seven years old, 160k miles and not a roundel in sight: I'm good with that.
