| Message: | When posters discuss "reliability" of the V8 vs. the I6 I don't think that anyone is questioning the overall service life of the engine. More concern is about the cost of failures and repairs along the way as opposed to the interval between rebuilds. Leaks, cracks, malfunctions, engine codes, sensors, etc.... I think almost all recent BMW engines, manual transmissions and diffs have proven to be built for the long haul. | ||||
