Could this be causing misfire on a cylinder? (899 views) 
Message: I have a 1999 528i 5 speed, and I am also getting the "idle drop" on start ups in the morning. I am also getting my engine light coming on and when I had it diagnosed, it said that cylinder 4 was misfiring. Could the Vanos have something to do with this? I have changed my plugs and coil, and still no improvement.
I have also checked the boot and the wires, and it all seems good.
Any help is much appreciated.
