| Message: | My experience is from swapping seats on an E36 M3 but I assume it will be very similar on E39's.... Take seats completely out of the car; remove the cushions & covers...there should screws on the bottom and lower back of the seats for this. Really it would be super easy to just swap cushions & covers at this point but there is a sensor pad under the passenger seat cover. This is why the seat covers need to come off.....the sensor needs to stay on the passenger side. I would just take both seat bottoms to a local trim shop and have them undo the covers.....swap the sensor....and then re-attach the covers. Take them back home and install. The seat backs should simply swap from side to side. Vacuum the floor, put seats back in the car, hook up wiring, and enjoy! HTH, let me know if have ?'s. | ||||
