Why does'nt BMW recommend using same size.... (65 views) 
Message: rims in front and rear unless they are 16 or 17 inch. BMW recommends that if you go to a +1 (18inch) rim you use a staggered setup. Why is this ?
I have a set of 18 inch OEM BMW style 71 rims that are 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the rear. The front offset is 20 and rear is 24. I wanted to get rid of the rear and go with the same size and style as the front for rotation purposes, but for some reason BMW does not recommend this for their 18 inch rims, only a staggered set up.

What gives?
