| Message: | Does anyone know whether the audio aux input kit part: 82 11 0 149 389 works for e39 (1999 520i pre-facelift)? I have seen this kit listed on the e46 forums, but can't find references under e39. Also, I cannot find this part number on http://www.realoem.com which normally lists most parts for BMW. I gather this will add the aux jack to the radio and allow any device (my iPod) to feed in ...with AUX as extra input on the display instead of having to use the 6 CD changer input for aux/ipod. This would be ideal cos the use of CD changer is retained. I have used aux via tape for a while, but the quality is hit and miss, and after several hours, the tape cartridge usually starts squeaking - I've gone through about 4 such kits. I've also tries the FM transmitter method - sound quality wise, tape is better. I think adding a direct aux feed to the radio would be the best option. Does such a kit exist for the e39 radio (non DSP)? | ||||
