| Message: | Hey everyone, First of all, thank you for helping me find that problem with engine failsafe prog and dropping rpms. I changed MAF / cleaned MAF connector contacts and problem partially dissapeared (for now). I say partially because car is still doing funny things but it's not giving me DSC + ENGINE FAILSAFE. Just to remind you, it's 2002 525i, Manual 5 speed, sport package, 84000 miles. I have this ongoing weird problem with bucking / jerking back and forth when releasing clutch 1-2, 2-3 and 4-3, 3-2 and on takeoffs. CDV was removed few months ago and after I did clutch bleeding pedal feel was smoother and almost scary soft but after only few weeks it became harder and there is no free play anymore. It is sooo hard to shift smoothly at lower rpms or do engine braking when coming to the traffic light or stop. What I experience is jerking / bucking back and forth like the whole car is connected to some big spring whenever I release the clutch. Only if I depress it slower (read: too slow) I am able make a smooth shift. I don't know if anyone before me changed pressure plate / clutch / bearing. I hear my input shaft bearing whirring when clutch is released and when I rev the car but that shouldn't cause shifting problems. (that's another issue and no idea what to do about it) Any ideas or similar experiences ? Thank you in advance | ||||
