Need advice on where to place BT Parrot (33 views) (33 thread views)
Message: Folks,

Got Parrot 3100 on fathers day. I installed the same into my wifes X5 and we love it. Works excellent.

Anyway.. On her car I placed it on a trim on a right from steering column. It's kind of flimsy on this double-side tape and not really visible behind steering wheel. Device mostly voice-operated..

So. I need to install it into my 540i/6 and trying to think of best/clean location. So far I can only think of 1 place where all wires will be hidden and it will look almost like it was there.

What if I install it in a panel where sunroof switch is? Right between switch and microphone? I can install microphone instead of factory one in the same place. View is very good overthere, I can almost instantly see who is calling on display, etc. The only issue will be if I need to push buttons or turn knob which should be rare.
Other problem is that I will have to extent display wire because it will be too short... But it's only install time problem.

Opinions? Other way I was thinking about mounting it right below rearview mirror. This way there will be wires and it won't be as clean.
