Can someone relate...(m) (101 views) (538 thread views)
Message: I think I've already posted this once, but maybe there's new news. Every morning when it is cold out (in NJ) and I warm up my car, just let it sit there for 5-10 min, I notice that the tach arrow drops from 750 rpm to 500 rpm, and as it hits 500 rpm, it quickly jumps up (you can feel and hear the motor rev or surge) to 750 rpm, it's usual place. It does this until it warms up. I had a 2001 525i wagon as a loaner, and it never did that. I brought this to the attention of my dealer 2 times, and they say it's normal. Does anyone have any new news about this? Thanks alot!
