| Message: | | As a recent buyer of my first BMW, a 2003 540 6-spd, I've had my eye on the M5 for a long time and had hoped to get one within a few years. But, when I saw the pictures of the e60, I decided to jump on my 2003 540 last summer rather than buy one of the ugly new things with the hated idrive. And, the concept pictures of the new M5 only make things worse. I'm enjoying my car and plan to make it last because at this moment I see nothing in the BMW lineup that interests me as a replacement within 5 years. I really like the current 3 series, I have several friends and familiy members who drive them and they are great. So, buying a current M3 in their last year model might be an option I'd consider because, frankly, I fear for what will become of the 3 series in it's next generation. But, a new M5? I'd have a hard time driving it in public if I had it given to me for free.
