Final Stage Resistor Blew again after 3 weeks! (63 views) (63 thread views) 
Message: Wondering if anybody has advice on this...

I replaced the final stage resistor in my '02 M5 3 weeks ago. It fixed the issue - the fan worked again and all was good.

Then yesterday everythign stopped working again. What would cause this new one to blow out again so fast?

I'm guessing either there is some other issue putting too much load on this circuit, or maybe I got a bad replacement or something...

Cost $108 for the part, so I can't replace it every 3 weeks! Any advice is appreciated.
