Having a problem with BMW....!! - BMW M3 (E46 M3) Message Board & Forum

My engine has blown again. This time BMW is saying that the car was over rev'd to 8,500 RPM for 5 sec's. Also they stated that the cars top speed was 158 mph. Just had a few questions if anyone else has had a problem with them saying the car has been over rev'd. Also whats the rev limiter kick in at? Is there anyway they can reprograme the ECU to come up with these #'s? I'm the only driver of the car and the top speed i've hit is about 100 mph or maybe a little faster. Just wondering were they are getting these #'s from. Thanks for any of your help.
