Message: I have had the car for 4 months and i just took it into teh dealer for engine related problems. I started hearing a oscillating sound from teh engine and it does so :

when going over 2krpm
when upshifting with SMG
does not make any sounds when downshifting and under 2k rpm.


They took apart the oil pan today and have sent the ECU to BMW NA to ensure the engine is running fine accroding to computer. I was told that i could be replacing the engine block. I cannot believe this!! This is my 4th ///M car in 4 years and I have never had this kind of problem. I am already looking into "lemon law". Does anyone have any advice? The sound sounds like a motorcycle from far away. Please help!
