Update on Blown Engine (580 views) (615 thread views) 
Message: Just got off the phone with service rep. He said that my fifth cylinder looked like it "had a ball-peen hammer taken to it." He said in his fifteen years with BMW, he has never seen this before. The BMW NA technician was dumbfounded as well. They are going to delve further into the engine today to try to find the root of the problem. As they discern what happened, I will pass it along.
