They have determined that the bearing was damaged and it looks like i need a new engine. I am so bummed because this car is 3 months old and I feel like even if they replaced it with a new engine, it will never be the same. I do not trust that a dealer can install a brand new m3 engine like they did in teh factory. So far my car has spent 5 days in the shop, and i hope they will take their time getting an engine shipped from Germany so that it will go over 30 days. I have also been having major problems with the leather seats, and also with the check engine light staying on and steering wheel stitching coming apart. I have alraady written a letter to BMW NA. Has anyone M3 owners got a new car from BMW because of the lemon law? If so how long did it take to get a new car? What part of the lemon law did u use? I am still waiting for DME readings from BMW. My dealer did compression tests yesterday.
