The lead tech at my dealer has just completed the retrofit with the parts from Randy & the OEM parts. He and I spent Thursday afternoon getting it done. Randy's instructions are really great and supplement the BMW instructions. The cable is in the wiring harness of later cars--not mine. The cable that hooked up the bluetooth antennae with the ULF was supplied with the kit by Randy. In addition he supplied the 50 pin to 25 pin adapte. On my installation we decided to do it Randy's way and put the bluetooth antennae in the trunk. He has modified the ULF to use with his own cables so we did not have to dismantle the interior. It is essentially plug & play and all fits on top of the CD & NAV. Since I had the old CPT 8000 we already had the microphone and other parts in the car.

Randy has modified the unit so it has a toggle switch on it to pare your phone in the trunk but I wanted the paring switch in the car so we did that. With his modified unit you don't need to amplify the signal. In fact we got it all hooked up pared and had no incoming sound. (much to the annoyance of people we called experimenting. We called Randy and hooked up one of his added wires and IT WORKED! It is well worth it.

My last part is to get the eject box & phone cradle done. I have the cradle from

the dealer ordered the eject box and Randy provided the needed cable that will allow me to hook up my shark fin antennae. The phone works great without this but I wanted the ability to charge and boost the antennae on long trips. I'll post a parts list later to save you all the discovery that we experienced.
I have the Motorola V600 and just love it. I get in the car and it hooks up instantly and works great. The only thing I will change is switch the microphone with the sunroof button to make it clooser to my voice.
