Message: Your car is still under warranty. I'd just take it in to the dealer and complain. They'll change out the fluid for you and if it still is making noise, they'll replace it for you. There have been several diff oils over the years, the dealer should have the most current one. There was a certain diff oil that really smelled bad that the dealers try first to quiet the diff.

In any case, the dealer will know the current oil.
