| Message: | I just bought a used 05 545. Great car, but at idle, generally with the AC on and the hotter the air temp is the worse the problem. The car will literally shake when stopped. It's almost embarrasing when having passengers ride in my car, and they tell me man my civic doesn't vibrate so much....argh I took it to the dealer and they told me it was due to the high ethanol content in the gas. Ok, I admit it I got gas at one of those cheapo places the time before going to the dealer and they tested the gas and it had 18% ethanol. I usually buy from Chevron, and based on a web site about gas the dealer gave me Chevron is on their list. They told me it wouldn't be covered under the maintenance plan but I could get the fuel injectors cleaned for $350, and the remaining bad gas removed for $625...yes $625. So I can't imagine that bad gas would cause the car with ac on and the hotter the air temp gets the worse the problem? Anyone else have this issue, or insight on how to deal with it? | ||||
