| Message: | ....if it can happen while at the shop then in some ways it can be easy. 1. They can run a Luminous Light redection test to help isolate which module may be the culprit as it can be any one of about 7 modules on the MOST bus. Did they? 2. They can also see if the MOST System Analysis is faulted and go through that test plan. Did they say if it was faulted? 3. The next way is to get at the easiest modules and bypass them fiber optically to see when the noise quits, then that is the problem module. They are probably replacing the ASK which is the single CD unit in the dash, but did they verify that this was the source or is this another guess? If just a guess then I will place a bet the problem will happen again unless they are real lucky and that is the problem. The next best scenario will be the problem resurfacing after repairs if the ASK isn't the problem. Does this only happen in certain modes? Radio, CD, phone, voice commands? Does anything stop working when it happens? Nav screen go blank? Voice commands inop? I have seen any number of modules cause this, sometimes it is the center screen itself as it is the source of the fiber optic light. Hopefully they will either fix it or it will resurface while it is there and they can check it some more. Is there shop foreman involved? | ||||
