Message: Interesting scenerio played out while my car was in the shop. The advisor told me the top tech in the northeast region visited while my car was being worked on and stated the module replace would not fix the problem and it would continue to overheat thus the cooling fan fix.

I must have written down ask module and thought that was what was being replaced but according to the work order it was the asc. Part # 65-12-6-939-014 That module had a overheating fault according to the advisor.

Funny you mention summer season as this has occured in the winter months just as frequent as summer. I am also reading that when a module becomes to hot the entire most bus can switch off for 10 minutes until the module cools down and then it regains function.

My symptoms do not match the overheating-shutdown-regain function scenario in that time period. It can be down for 24 to 72 hours before it functions again.
