Yes I did print your post out and presented it to them.
I spent my Friday morning in the service department. I managed to get the car in while the problem was occurring and they state that no faults where found and advised me to bring it in next week so they can re-program each modules software. From what I understand they feel one of the modules is not retaining the program.
I believe it was the FSE that provided them with the "next step" as his conversation mentioned "they told us to re-program each module"
Apparently it takes 6 hrs to re-program. They are going to keep it for a few days to test. No idea how they plan to test it but mentioned they may need the car for a up to two weeks if they find a problem and need to replace any other modules as they will have to order parts and re-program the car again.
Sounds like BMW should recognize when a car is having a problem like this and buy it back and perform a complete lobotomy. Lets face it the system they put in is unreliable and the whole thing should be pulled out and replaced. It is getting to the point now that I should be compensated for my lost wages, inconvenience, fuel consumption, and dissatisfaction with the car….not to mention resell ability.
