Hi

E65 730d Sport 7/03 UK car

Had the driver restraint fault occur, took it to the dealer and had the diagnostics. They reset but said there may be a fault on the drivers occupancy mat, open circuit. The car ran fine for 6 months, but then the fault came on again. I have changed the mat, and cleared all faults with carsoft, but this fault does not show and can not be cleared. I took it to a specialist and they couldn't find the fault with the Bosch system that is normally better than Carsoft. I could take it to the dealer but I have little confidence in them, especially as they told me the fault was in the passenger seat, but when I could see the diagnostic sheet it clearly said drivers.
I have read this could be a software glitch, any views?
