I tried getting into one at the Toronto Auto Show (171 views)
Message: yesterday and my knees jammed into the dash and my eyes were at the same level as the very top of the windshield, so the existing model is definitely NOT for guys 6'5". The new version would have to add a lot of leg and headroom before I could sit in it comfortably.
On a related issue, I sat in the new 2005 Boxster as well and was amazed at the lack of legroom. Again my knees were right up against the dash. No way would I find that comfortable. What, only short people drive Porsches?
OTOH, the new SLK 350 had legroom and headroom to spare. Even more than my Z4. Very nice and comfortable roadster, but at a starting MSRP of $64.5K Cdn, just a wee bit pricey.
They also had the SLK55 there and it looked great in silver. But again, at $82.5K Cdn MSRP, a little rich for a summer fun car.
Interestingly (or maybe not), of all the roadsters, my wife liked the Solstice best..
