Message: I trust by now that your problem has been resolved - hopefully with a minimum of pain and expense!

I have a slightly different problem - I broke my mirror assembly but NOT the glass. You mentioned that your independent BMW repair shop advised you that he would be able to get an entire mirror assembly for less than $260. Do you have any information on a source?
