| Message: | i have an e34 and i have come to a cross road should i lower my compression ratio ( to say 8:1 ) to run more boost or should i keep high compression ( 9:1 ), and run less boost how would i be able to make the most power my end goal is putting 350 - 400 rwhp. but i dont want to go nuts on the engine changing pistons and rods, just to put some comparative numbers up front : (dyno sheets ive seen ) 89 535( 9:1 ) @10psi = 309rwhp intercooled 85 535( 8:1 ) @18psi = 318rwhp non these are the closest figures ive seen producing similar power, similar motor, different CmpRtio. | ||||
