Simple. CR=9.5 or 8.5, boost = 5psi or 7psi (535 views) 
Message: Example 1 gives an ECR of 12.73, example 2 gives an ECR of 12.25.

I'd suggest you run some sample numbers through. You'll find you can produce equivalent HP with less boost with higher compression engines.
