Plastic film, almost invisible. I got it last (96 views) 
Message: year after I retired my MC, and repainted the front and other bits. IIRC there are 3 brands, 3M, Ventureshield and 1 other. My installer (see link) recommended the Ventureshield (8 mils). More important to find a good installer, don't try the DIY as the pro's took 1/2 day to install. Mine is supposedly UV proof, but my covered garage queen isn't exposed very much. Unless I point it out, no one seems to see it (there's just a faint line. I had a custom job for more coverage so the cover went up the hood the length of the material. Cost was ~$700 - anything for my "mistress".
