Re: part does'nt give out.....it fatigues (56 views) 
Message: the spring looses it outward pushing preassure and weakens enough that you get play(looseness) in the timing chain. You could more than likely just pull on the spring and stretch it abit... but going with a new spring keeps everything in proper spec's.
