Just the big-ticket items (hood, headlight, bumper, bumper cover w/ trim, fender, side skirt, rear fender, core support, fender liner, and the biggie, the inner wheelhouse/frame horn) total up to over $4K at a discount from my regular guy. I'm sure there will be lots of smaller parts, including race parts, to replace as well. That doesn't include the suspension parts either, although I hope that's okay except for the LCA. And then there's labor. It's not gonna be cheap.
Hoping to find a dismantler with a Z3, but the three big BMW recyclers around here (02 Salvage in Hayward, plus Bavarian Auto and BMTech in Rancho Cordova) have nothing. I wouldn't mind a whole front clip, but it's really just the RF corner that I need. Any Z3 would work, coupe, roadster, 4-cyl, 6-cyl, M ... other than the bumper cover, these parts are all shared.
If anyone has seen a Z3 in a junkyard with no damage to the RF corner, let me know. Hopefully close to CA to save on shipping.
