Really, huh? (66 views)
Message: I said that she would have to copy two files.

You explicitly said in this thread that she could make edits to her song and playlists "without manually copying these 'special' files."

Now, your solution has her (1) manually exporting and importing new songs every time there is a change (which in reality is the LONG way of just copying the first of these "special" files - the .xml file that I originally identified) and (2) manually exporting and importing the playlist file (which again is the LONG way of just copying the second of these "special" files - the .txt file that I originally identified). Manually Exporting and importing will work, but if you have a large library it will take a fair amount of time. And functionally, it is IDENTICAL to just copying the two files I identified. Simply copying the "special" files directly is much quicker.

Anyway, you said that she wouldn't have to manually copying these files each time -- that iTunes would do it automatically -- yet your solution now has her doing just that. And yet in your mind you are right, and my challenging you on it is lame and sad.

Wow.
