| Message: | | I believe that the oil companies make about 9 cents a gallon. And the price of the barrel is effected by a lot of different market pressures. Also, oil is traded in dollars. So with the dollar devaluated oil per barrel is going to cost more.
A good idea would be to let the oil companies do what they do best.. explore and drill for oil and bring it to market. Special interest groups and the politicians in their pockets have prevented us from accessing our own oil supplies. This makes no sense. We are the only country in the world that has voluntarily cut ourselves off from their own energy supply.
We can bring down the price of oil and greatly reduce out dependence on foreign oil by accessing our own oil. Bringing oil company officials in front of congressional communities is ridiculous. Especially since those congressman are the same ones voting against domestic drilling. They are the problem. Oh yeah, and the environmentalists.
