Z3 Fault Codes (788 views) (1652 thread views) 
Message: Hi everyone - this is my first attempt on the Z3 message board. Had a question that I hope someone could help me with. I purchased a used 1997 Z3 2.8 last October and I'm having a blast driving it! (my first BMW - a black beauty in great shape!) I decided to purchase the Peake Research diagnostic tool and just read off the following fault codes: F0-Misfire detected #3, F3-Misfire detected #6, and FE-EVAP Large leak detected. Was just wondering where I should start troubleshooting? The Bentley manual didn't really help much. Note that the car seems to be running pretty well, and I was just checking the codes out of curiosity. As a first try, should I just change the spark plugs? (was going to do this anyway) Any help would be much appreciated!
