Even though your battery might say that it is maintenance-free, it likely is NOT! Peel back the decals on the top. If you find caps there, your battery is NOT maintenance free. Unscrew those caps. You will be able to look down a small tube into the battery. A short ways down, you should see a little metal prong coming out of the side of the cylinder. That prong should be under water. If it is at the surface of the water or above the water, you should add distilled water (I use a turkey baster) until it is below the water level again.
