BMW or aftermarket extended warranty question (460 views) (1068 thread views) 
Message: I recently bought a '99 Z3 2.3 roadster with 43,000 miles from a private party. The car is in perfect shape but it's out of warranty and I'm debating whether or not I should try and get an extended warranty, if one is even available. All service work has been done by BMW dealers in Dallas and KC.

I'd appreciate the name of a company that offers such a warranty from one of you who have had a similar need. Should I try several BMW dealers? Will BMW even offer a warranty after the factory warranty has expired? Who offers good aftermarket warranties?

Thanks, guys for any help. I continue to learn a lot from this board. Wish I could make it to HC.
