Here are some instructions (130 views) 
Message: They are about installing a big brake kit on e39 BMWs but the techniques re replacing the lines with stainless will be about the same. You will need in addition to the lines a big stainless steel washer for each line with (if memory serves) a 1/2 inside hole diameter. This is necessary so that the SS line doesn't pull through the mounting bracket. At least I found it was necessary when doing this job on my M Roadster.
