| Message: | | Atlanta Blue/Tan, 114K miles. From the seller: rotors good, pads 75%, no tears in seats, top good, tires "fairly new", windows and mirrors work fine, seat motors good, seat bushings have been replaced, new water pump/therm/belts/tensioners installed last week. Just passed smog but carfax does say it failed April 02, Jan. 06, Feb. 08. Passed in March 08. Four owners counting the seller, no accidents.
Or Silver/Black, 113K miles, second owner, nearly flawless exterior/interior, 2nd owner bought as CPO, failed smog June 05, latest pass was May 07. Accident flag 06/07; no details yet but waiting for the owner to fill me in. Seller is a car guy so car truly does sound pristine as one could expect...but worth looking with the accident history?
Is failing a smog check going to a pretty common thing with any of these 1.9's I'm looking at, being 11+ years old? Or do I bite the bullet and wait for something else? by the way, I'm in the $9K and under price range...
