Reduce speed limit in USA...CNN /Poll please - The Z3 (E36/7) Message Board

CNN is talking about support for lowering the national speed limit to 55mph. Est. gas savings would be 38 cents a gal.

How many think this is a good idea?

I'll start off by voting no. I think the gov. should force oil companies to stop capping off oil wells and gas wells and start pumping US oil. At $4 a gal US companies should be able to make a huge profits. I'd feel better paying $4 if it stayed in the US.
