Thanks to my wife for spilling full bottles of cleaner in my trunk. Lucky though as I needed to remove the trunk carpet anyway to fit the new Alpine amp for the stereo upgrade. What I found beneath the carpet just to the right of the battery was an amp nicely fitted in. Now would this be the factory amp? If so, what are the specs?
I can't see any logo's on it. Everything is wired in nicely. Since I added roll hoops, I got the HK rear speakers that I need to hook up. Where in the mass of wires do I plug these in? The HKs have nice professional looking plugs on the end of the speaker wire leads. It would save me some effort if I new where to plug this in.
The stereo (Pioneer head) was not impressive at all when I listened to it. I'm wondering how well that amp worked? If the HKs were wired up it should sound a whole lot better.
Should I use the existing amp or swap out to the new technology (the Alpine)?
How were some of these cars fitted from the factory? With and without amps? What were some of the option? I can see the cable for the CD players.
