ASC needs replacement (145 views) (406 thread views) 
Message: Well, I have been haveing intermittent issues with the lights coming on (ASC/ABS). Finally took to mechanic after cleaning wheel sensors, etc. Came back as Left/Front wheel sensor. He said that he recommends replacing ASC unit, as "98%" of the time, it is actually the ASC unit. His price is $642,for parts, labor and recoding of unit. I called dealer hoping to maybe get better price on part and I would replace and save money on labor. Their price for part only is $1,070. Anyone know anything about this issue? I have read the info about cleaning contacts on the unit and reinstalling, so will try that before I spend too much. Thanks ahead of time.
