| Message: | | Couple of problems with the handle. The inner door isn't much more than cardboard, so it's pretty easy to pull it through. And some of the connecting pieces are brittle plastic that breaks. I can't remember exactly what I did, but I know it involved buying a door panel removal tool at AutoZone ($5) and gorilla-gluing some big fender washers to the back of the cardboard to give the handle some support. I think I also gorilla-glued some metal nuts to replace some of the plastic connector pieces. Good news is that whatever jerry-rigging you have to do, it's all covered over with the door panel.
Also be aware that it's tricky getting the door panel back in place correctly. Some have had success using soap as a lubricant to work it back in place; but mine never did get back in quite correctly.
And while you have the door panel off, lubricate all the pivot points on the window mechanism.
