I've been informed by an insider that BMW has send dealers initial info about the Extended "Protection Plan" that BMWNA plans to roll out in the very near future. In it, they described qualification criteria, cost, and terms. I'm trying to get my hands on a printout as we speak, but from what I've been told, it's initially available only to the original owner of the vehicle, and it offers coverage nearly identical to what is offered by BMW's CPO protection plan on their used cars.
Thought some of you might like to hear this, since it's been a big issue here. I'll post more news as it becomes available (and when I get a copy of the release).
