I assume when you say M2, you mean a 2002 w/m 3 engine. If you are upgradeing the brakes, the calipers for the e12 are a better caliper. They are four piston while the e28 swiched(money saving) to a floating caliper. I just read that somewhere they also said a few Ferrari around the 80's came with e12 calipers.

I needed to know the cut off so I can search for some front brake calipers etc for my M2 conversion. Have an 87' 535IS but have never really paid any attention to the start stop dates for E12s, and needed to know so I can search the bone yards and papers.

My BMW parts disc hasn't arrived as yet...


They started e12s in 72' but only for europe they didnt bring them to the U.S. until 74' and lasted until 81'. The e28s were from 82' through 88'. WHY THE HELL DIDNT YOU KNOW THIS YOU COMPLETE IDIOT YOU SHOULD BE BANISHED FROM THIS BOARD AND ALL OF THE COMPUTER WORLD FOR ETERNITY.
