When they first came out I loved the looks and entry level price so much I test drove one with every intension of taking one home. I fit in the car perfectly. But after almost getting rearended by a yugo trying merge onto the freeway, I brought the car back to the dealer. The have very little torque. You need to be in the throttle (revs up) all the time. I went home in a 5 series with the big 6.

I guess they are a neat car as far as BMW's go, responsive, handling; I've always been attracted to the classic bimmers, I've owned a 1967 1800ti and a handful of 2002's, including a '73tii. I'm currently looking for my 8th 2002 or maybe it will be an E-12 or also the rare 4 door "2000", I have some leads on a couple of very nice 2000's, "neue klasse" 4 door sedans., they are rare and parts can be a bear to get but I've always liked these models. I'm really not into the newer bimmers though, Tim.
