It means your brake pads need to be placed. These cars are equipped with brake pad wear sensors that short and turn on the dash light after the pads wear to a certain point. The flickering just means that they're just now to that point, but it'll get worse. The sensors are "consumable," so make sure you replace them (they're not expensive) when you replace the pads.
