Old story, been going on for decades. Dealers overprice based on demand, crank the price up, then ramp up to fill the demand, flood the market, and now the car you couldn't live without is commonplace. They're all over town. Datsun 240Z, Miata, Toyota MR2, Corvette, and the list of "surcharge for popularity" goes on. Your angry crusade may momentarily inconvenience Crevier, but I doubt for very long. The culprit is the hungry consumer, and their Nouveau Riche gluttony.
