are notorious for running poorly and overheating, primarily because of the emissions hardware, which was all changed in '79 when the car became a 528i. make sure head not warped. check your local emissions requirements, etc. etc.

I saw this car on a used lot.....auto trans. and the back
sign said 530i. can not find this on the mb. was this
before the 528e??? they say it is a '79.
