I have an '81 528i that I think I am going to sell. It has some rust on the fenders and needs a full exhaust system. It might need brakes. The front passenger and rear drive windows don't work. The black courderouy seats are in good condition. Automatic. The odometer stopped working at 90k. I have all records from the day it was new. What should I be asking for it?

Typically un-rusty E12's in the west sell from $2-$4.5K. Excellent examples $5K+.

A recent autotrader ad lists a one owner, 10K mile car for $15K+.

Not knowing your location (or the amount of rust) and with the small problems you mention?? $1200-1800 might be a good starting point.
