That's a huge jump and to what we call "really tall gears". I venture that you will run out of poop sooner on the speedo. You would accomplish much more usable top end speed, by utilizing a gear ratio about halfway between what you have and where you're going. Remember that gas mileage also goes down as you use the engine less efficiently.

A better proposition would be to go to the 5 speed OD gearbox where the ratios are more driver managable, unless you are planning on moving up to a 3.5L engine (more power) real soon. You'll get tired of constantly dropping down into third gear, otherwise.
